Privacy & Security terms
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat was added to the Location of Customer Data at Rest for Core Online Services clause. This means data used for this service is stored in the region specific to this tenant.
A clause was added called EU Data Act, which is mainly an explanation of where you can find additional supporting materials on the EU Data Act. The clause states that an EU customer’s agreement is covered by the Microsoft DPA. If you want to know more you can look here or here.
Visual Studio
The Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) has added Visual Studio Subscriptions to the availability table for:
- Visual Studio Enterprise
- Visual Studio Pro
- Visual Studio Test Pro 2022
Windows Desktop Operating System
Windows 10 ESUs for both Devices licenses and Cloud Managed licenses added to the Microsoft Customer Agreement availability table.
Azure
Azure AI Foundry Agent Service: This is a new clause stating that starter templates, instructions, and code samples made available for use with Azure AI Foundry Agent Service are designed to assist Customers in accelerating their development of agents for specific scenarios. Customer is responsible for any agent it creates using Azure AI Foundry Agent Service, including complying with any legal, regulatory, or licensing requirements applicable to the resulting agent or its use.
The Teams API terms were updated to align and comply with EU regulations. This means a large section of the language has been stripped.
Microsoft 365
Microsoft added the Defender Suite for Business Premium, Microsoft Purview for Business Premium, and Microsoft Defender and Purview for Business Premium to Availability and Prerequisites tables. This means that if you have Microsoft 365 Business Premium, you can get these suites added to your tenant. As with Microsoft 365 Business licenses, these are capped at max. 300 licenses.
Windows 365
Windows 365 Frontline licenses are now available in GCC and GCCH (government cloud). Additionally, if you want to use Cross Region Disaster Recovery with the W365 Frontline licenses, this can only be done in Dedicated mode.
